As a professional corporate educator for more than 25 years, and the father
of a 13 year old autistic boy, our family has been constantly looking for
methods of helping our son. When we found Relationship Development
Intervention (RDI) and studied it for several months, we felt it was the

"It is frustrating dealing with undesirable behaviour, and frustrating when
you think you aren't reaching through. With our 5 1/2 year old daughter, the
frustration was really interfering with every aspect of our lives. It took
away joy and excitement.
Upon hearing about Creative Connections, we felt there might be the
opportunity to change things. Kathryn and Lindsey have been highly
encouraging throughout the initial meeting, the parent training, assessment
and follow up process. Their patient, friendly personalities in addition to
their experience and professionalism make the sessions a pleasure. We no
longer feel as if we are faltering on our own.
Prior to entering into RDI® training, we considered what it was that we
really wanted for our daughter. One of our primary desires is for her to
have relationships with others that go beyond the surface. This does not
come naturally to her and has been a source of frustration for us. As we
work with Lindsey and Kathryn, we are learning how to help our daughter in
this area. The concepts they have shared with us are easy to understand, and
when applied, improve the interactions we have with our daughter, and
actually with one another as well.
Going through the RDI® parent training, we learned there are many ways we can create opportunities for interaction that will provide all of us with a
successful experience. We also learned how to build on those successful
experiences.
